Handheld Audiometric Warbler

In 2015 Audio3 Ltd. was approached by one of the leading children's audiology centres in the UK to develop a hand-held free-field audiometer specifically for measuring children. The problem with measuring children, of course, is that they have other better things to do. For an audiologist making the audiometry fun and fast is essential to getting the best results. This kind of work is exactly what Audio3 Ltd was founded for and so development on the Audio3 Warbler began. It was essential that the controls could be operated without look at them and preferably one-handed. Controls should produces a nice tactile response and be very quiet. In addition the system should be portable to allow off-site measurements but mainly to enable the audiologist to follow the wanderings of a child's attention--wherever it leads.
